Trudging back to his apartment, which used to be Lucy’s old apartment, Natsu collapsed onto the bed, not even bothering to change his clothes. A deep sigh, one straight from his bones, rattled the walls.
‘I hate this,’ he thought morosely to himself. ‘I hate having to take all these random jobs by myself, I hate the expensive rent, and I hate that the guild disbanded!‘

Now there was true desperation in Natsu’s voice as he pleaded, “Erza…please…don’t go.”
It almost broke her heart, but Erza forced herself to say, “Natsu, I’m sorry…but it will likely be a while before we see each other again.”
“But,” Natsu had to stop and swallow, his voice weaker, a whimper. “I…don’t want that…”
Whirling around, Erza locked eyes with him, her expression fierce, and frustrated. “Then tell me: what do you want?!”

Erza flinched and frowned, looking down at the ground.
“…Erza…” Natsu’s voice was so soft, she almost didn’t hear it. Looking up, Erza froze when she saw the tears streaming down his face.

Her heart breaking, her own tears pouring from her eyes, Erza rushed to him and pulled him into a tight embrace, squeezing him hard. “YES! WITHOUT A QUESTION, NATSU!!”
He sniffled again, and Erza hugged him even tighter and closer. “Everyone missed you… Welcome home.”
