To the readers of Welcome to BSU
This is a post directed at the fans who follow our Welcome to BSU fanfic series.
After much discussion with my long-time friend and collaborator Strider-Seiryu, who is the main writer of the series, we decided to start over and reboot the series. I apologize to those who are eagerly awaiting the next chapter of the series but for numerous reasons, I feel this was gonna be the best move.
The main reason for the reboot is that Strider was not happy/satisfied with a lot of the story beats that has happened throughout the series. Another major reason was the guest characters we used. Guest OCs that did not belong to me or Strider were given major roles. As a result, they were tied into major plotlines and future ideas. One of the owners of the guest OCs tried to hijack the creative process and center the series around his character, we didn’t like that at all. It was a terrible and toxic experience working with this individual. For these two big reasons, it was the best thing to do for our relationship both as friends and teammates in this project was to start over fresh. Furthermore, These bad OC experiences with other creators are the reason I don’t draw OCs that belong to other people anymore.
In the months that have passed since the last chapter post, we have put a lot of time and effort into reconstructing the BSU story and expanding it with new characters. While the new BSU will be different in a lot of ways, it will still follow familiar storylines and characters. Most of the original cast will return.
A Patreon + discord has been created for those who want to support the series. The first chapter will be posted in April publicly so people can decide if they wanna support or not. I’ll be posting the new chapters on Patreon before they’ll be posted on the site. The goal is to do a chapter a month moving forward. Also all my OC art will be going there too from now on.

Yo wassup just wanted to say good story art and story just one thing I would like to ask in the reboot will the story follow the same path. Because the whole Xavier saga of constant L taking and depression sucked , after being promised something good would come of it never happened. Especially with him getting cucked which in my opinion was completely unnecessary it just felt like only bad things/situations only happened to him. Because he was inexperienced or just overall naive and not having enough confidence I guess just wanted to know and wish you both well and great success
I understand your concern Doom King. The point you brought up was actually one of my concerns during the original BSU. The presentation of the Xavier character is one of the subjects Rtenzo and I have discussed. As a result of this I am adjusting his character. Xavier is an OC I have owned for over 20 years. I will be portraying him and his personality to be more like the original version of him that existed prior to his appearance in the first BSU series. I think you and other fans of Xavier will be pleased with the creative direction we are going with him in the reboot. I hope you check it out. Thanks for the support.

Now would be a good time to check it out. And, no your question isn’t annoying at all.Nicole and the cow girl you are referencing are 2 different characters. The cow girl is Elizabeth. Both will be returning in the reboot. I hope you check it out.
Since the story will go through a soft reboot, I assume that the already existing chapters will be thrown to the River Styx? And what will happen to the pictures that you already made that include the problem OCs?
What up gabe, good to see you’re still around. To answer your first question the Existing chapters are no longer ‘canon’ so to speak, however some storylines and concepts from the original will likely come back in slightly altered form in reboot story. As for your second question, thats not something we can speak on right here and now. However something is being done. Everything will reveal itself as chapters are released.
Please don’t throw those pics away! I want to be able to still see the now “non-canon” stories in their entirety.

Well that’s something unexpected but understandable. I was wondering what was going on with the series. But I’m sure it’s for the best and I’m sure the reboot will be just awesome as the old story. I’m interested to see how the characters will be this time around.

That’s really stretching the truth a bit. You and strider initially stole the commission the guest made, a scene he was really looking forward to, and you expected him to just deal with it. The guest begged and begged to have their scene posted and was consistently refused, so naturally they’d feel upset and betrayed. Especially when you were friends with this person and had him trust you. It’d also be difficult for guest to hijack a series when he left over 2 years ago, so his influence in this series was non-existent.
First of all, I am not a writer. I DO NOT provide anyone with a fanfiction service. Go to a writer like SailorIo for that, he writes stories, I do not. I drew the guest what he wanted and he was happy with the finished image. That is the extent of our transaction, read my Patreon tier rewards if you do not believe me. I never once advertised that people get fanfics when they become my higher tier patrons, nor do I advertise they can influence the story of the fanfics on my site. Anyone who has followed me for a significant amount of time can attest to this. He REFUSED to acknowledge these boundaries of mine. However, He will never admit to this but we RESOLVED that issue because I drew him a new illustration to replace it. I wanted him to be happy despite me not being obligated to provide anyone with fanfics. He simply decided ‘I don’t care and I’m still angry’ and continued to rage about it after he got his new art, for years afterwards.
Do you know want he wanted? His scenes is making his character the main character and having the professors and one of my own OCs fall in love with him. His scenes is having his character being in a romantic relationship with his sisters and mother. His scenes is giving his oc the biggest dick and cucking the other male characters. The guy refused to have his oc work with any other male character and refused to compromise. Welcome to BSU is NOT his series but he acted like it. Furthermore, each artwork I did for him had a page of requirements I had to follow and he required NUMEROUS edits. Dude was toxic, emotionally volatile and manipulative. Who cares if he left awhile ago? his character/influence has already infected the series. With all due respect, You’ve only heard one side of the story from someone that holds a grudge against me and wants to paint me in the worst, most uncharitable light. The man overstepped his boundaries and demanded things I didn’t/could not offer.
I hope the person that you got rid of was that food guy I really hated him tbh I know he was in a couple pics with taiyohime and Xavier’s mom

Plus as long as a good chunk of the original cast comes back into the new story, I’ll be more than happy. Speaking of which, I do hope that characters like Xavier{X}, Matsunami {Matsu}, Maihime{Mai}, Kaede, Takiko, Yuriko, Shikijou, Rubii, Anya, Mei, Kiana, Brass, Keiko, Ashani, Elizabeth, Hitomi, Eiji, Jade and Ashley make a comeback in this new time line. As well as Sara, Taiyohime and Saitou of course. 😆
I may even consider checking out the new BSU Patreon too. 🤔
Still, I’ve been following this series from the start, and new re-imagining or not, I’m not stopping now. 😎 Plus it’s one of the best Hentai stories I’ve seen! With or without its flaws. 😉

Definitely interested in the reboot as I felt the story was often struggling with it’s direction towards the end.
Was really interested in the story at first but the lack of direction/inconsistent release schedule + the constantly growing cast made me lose interest.
Ya, the goal is a chapter a month, there will be other writers to help from time to time. And as for the cast, we will focus on a few characters at a time before more gets introduced.
A reboot? Well color me interested! I’m hopeful and excited to see what’ll happen in the reboot!
